The catalogue provides for the first time ever a thorough overview of the history of wooden Estonian architecture, including two voluminous articles: “Wooden Architecture as a Bearer of Stylistic History” by Karin Hallas, and “On the Development and Residential Types of Wooden Estonian Settlements” by Epp Tohver. K. Hallas addresses wooden architecture starting from the oldest preserved wooden structures through architecture of the 1990s. E. Tohver takes a look at the types of Estonia’s historic wooden settlements. Hain Toss writes of the heritage-protection aspect of wooden architecture. The catalogue is published in Estonian and English.
